Entebbe was the administration centre for the colonial regime and has for that reason many attractions. The Statehouse, old administrative buildings nicely kept, old churches and schools, to mention a few. The old airport where the so called “Entebbe Raid” took place is another.

Some not so known places but worth visiting are perhaps the oldest historical attraction, the Entebe za mugula, or Mugula´s seat - the seat for the local ruler. Near this is the place where the first catholic missionaries arrived in 1879, commemorated with a nice monument.

The most visited places in Entebbe are the Botanical Gardens and Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). They are a must if you have never been to Entebbe and have a few hours to pass time with, although they need some good time.

Other places of interest include the Freedom Trea, a place of historical importance, the old European graveyard.
